Voices of Wandsworth:

South Asian Poetry & Performance

25 July 2026, 1:30pm

Celebrating the vibrant history, diversity, and cultural wealth of Wandsworth's South Asian communities.

Experience live poetry, ancestral music, and readings that connect South Asian roots to modern London life.

This event showcases poetry as a living South Asian art form across many traditions, from sung folktale and the ghazal to immersive work, prose and contemporary verse.

We travel across Sindh, Punjab, Bengal and the wider subcontinent to South London, exploring our borough's collective heritage through powerful spoken word and song.
